About Table Tug Online

Table Tug is tug of war with a table in the middle instead of a rope. Both sides heave, the table slides toward whoever is pulling harder, and the round ends when your opponent is dragged over the line. One button does everything, which is exactly why it works on a shared keyboard.

It sits directly alongside Tug the Table Classic and Tug of Heads in the site's tug family, but this one adds an online mode — so if there is nobody next to you, there is still someone to pull against.

How to play

Press the spacebar — or tap the screen on a touch device — to tug. Keep tugging to drag the table your way; the round is won when your opponent is hauled across the line. Choose local two-player to share one device, or the online mode to face someone else in the world.

Tips to win

• Steady, even presses register better than a burst of panic mashing.
• Watch the table, not your hands — you can see momentum shift a moment before it does.
• If you are losing ground, do not stop. A lost round here is only a few seconds long.
