About Tug The Table Classic
Tug The Table Classic is a tug of war with the rope replaced by a table, which changes it more than you would expect. Because you are both gripping a rigid object, every pull you make also moves you, and the physics let the whole thing tip, swing and get away from both players at once.
The win condition is simply dragging your opponent past the line on your side. That is the entire ruleset, and it is why the game works as a thirty-second argument settler: nobody needs an explanation, and the loser always believes the table was at fault.
How to play
Play alone against the computer or with a friend on the same keyboard. Each player pulls on the table from their own side; the aim is to drag your opponent across the line. Because the table is a solid object, hard pulls swing it and can pull you off balance instead. The key layout for both players is shown on the start screen.

Tips to win
- Pull in short bursts rather than holding — a constant pull just gives the table momentum to swing back.
- Time your pull for the moment your opponent releases; that is when the table has no counterforce on it.
- If the table tips, stop pulling entirely for a beat and let it settle rather than fighting the physics.
