About PlayTundra
PlayTundra is an independently run catalog of free browser games — action, racing, puzzles, .io arenas and same-keyboard two-player games — aimed at people playing on ordinary laptops and Chromebooks, often with the sound off and no ability to install anything. It launched in August 2026 and is independently run: one publisher, no network behind it, and a catalog that is checked and updated every day rather than left to a feed. Nothing here needs an account, a download or a payment.
What we add that a game feed does not
The games themselves are made by their developers and delivered through a licensed HTML5 distribution network; we do not host, modify or claim them. What we make is everything around the game frame: a description of what the game actually is, a control reference checked against the developer's own listing, a how-to for the first minute, tips from having played it, and on most pages a longer strategy guide and questions specific to that game. We also write guides — tested lists and series breakdowns built from the same data. If a page here says Player 2 fires with Enter, that was checked against the developer's notes for that exact build before it was published.
How games get in — and stay in
- Licensed only. Every title comes through a distributor that holds rights from the developer. Clones that trade on a famous franchise's name are refused even when a distributor offers them.
- Tested from where you are. The embed and thumbnail of every game are fetched from a server in the United States before the page is built, and every listed game is re-checked daily. A game whose source breaks is replaced or removed the same day.
- Laptop-first. Portrait-only mobile builds are not accepted, because our readers play on landscape screens.
- Documented controls or nothing. If the developer's listing gives no usable control information, we do not guess and we do not list the game.
- Safe for a shared screen. No gore, gambling, adult content or political figures.

Who this is for
Most of our visitors are students and other people on managed machines: a Chromebook in a classroom, a library terminal, an office laptop on a break. That shapes the catalog — a large two-player section, a bias toward games that run muted and on weak hardware, and an unblocked games page that explains plainly what "unblocked" does and does not mean. If your school or workplace blocks games on purpose, we ask you to respect that and play on your own time.
Advertising and independence
The site is funded by advertising: ads inside a game are placed by its distributor under its agreement with the developer, and ads on our own pages, when present, come from third-party networks. Neither affects which games we list or what we write about them. See the privacy policy for what those networks may process.
