About Extreme Thumb Wars

Somebody made the schoolyard thumb war into an actual game, and it turns out to work. You pick a thumb from a roster of more than twenty, then face a friend or the computer. Two bars govern everything: a health bar for how much punishment your thumb has taken, and a power bar that drains as you smash down on your opponent.

It is one key per player, so it belongs on a shared keyboard next to Pixel Pulling and the rest of the one-button duels here. Rounds are short, the animation does the comedy, and the rematch is automatic.

How to play

Player 1 uses W and player 2 uses the up arrow key — or use touch controls on a phone or tablet. Smash down on your opponent to drain their health, but keep an eye on your own power bar: you can only keep pressing while it lasts. Pick your thumb character first, then play a friend or the CPU.
