About Maze Tower
Maze Tower is a co-operative maze platformer: two adventurers follow a treasure map through 16 labyrinths, each guarded by traps and monsters, collecting the gemstones held in the towers. It is a puzzle game with platforming hands — the route is the problem, but reaching it needs double jumps and wall jumps you have to be reasonably precise with.
Both players can move independently, so the levels can be split between you rather than solved in single file. That makes it one of the better two-player picks on the puzzle shelf, where most games are strictly turn-based.
How to play
Player 1 moves with WASD, hits with F and runs with R. Player 2 moves with the arrow keys, hits with L and runs with P. Both characters can double jump and wall jump, and several of the 16 labyrinths cannot be finished without both. Collect the gemstones and reach the exit.
Controls
- Player 1 — WASD to move, F to hit, R to run
- Player 2 — Arrow keys to move, L to hit, P to run
- Both players — double jump and wall jump
Tips to win
- Practise the wall jump on a safe wall early; several later mazes assume you can chain two.
- Split up when a maze branches — covering both routes is faster than backtracking together.
- Run into a jump rather than jumping from standing; the extra distance opens up shortcuts.
