About Parking Puzzle

Parking Puzzle is a car-park brain teaser. One car has to escape, and the other vehicles are in the way. There is no reflex element - the only thing standing between you and the solution is working out which car has to move first and where it can go without blocking something else.

The early lots are gentle enough to solve on instinct. As the puzzles become more challenging, a single careless move can block the path you need, which is exactly when the game gets good. Mouse or finger, nothing else needed.

How to play

Click or tap a car and drag it along its own axis — vehicles can only move forwards and backwards, never sideways. Work out which car is ultimately blocking the exit and which cars have to move to free it, then clear the chain in the right order to drive the target vehicle out of the lot.

Tips to win

• Find the exit route first and identify every car sitting on it - those are the only ones that truly matter.
• Move a car the minimum distance needed; parking it at the far end usually blocks something else.
• When a board feels stuck, trace the chain of blockers back until you find the one car that is free to move.

Parking Puzzle is about finding the escape path before moving anything. Your goal is to create a path for the target car to leave the parking area. Before your first move, look at the route the target car needs and identify every vehicle sitting in the way. Those are the cars that matter; everything else only matters if it blocks them.

Work out the chain of blockers. Often the car in the way cannot move because another car is blocking it, and that one is blocked in turn. Follow the chain until you find a car that is free to move, because that is usually your real first move. Solving the chain in the right order is the whole puzzle.

Avoid blocking other vehicles when you move a car. The most common mistake is clearing one path and closing another in the process. Move each car only as far as it needs to go, and think about where it ends up. A car parked in the wrong spot can create a brand new blocker.

Plan each move, then make it precisely. The puzzles reward smart thinking and careful moves rather than speed. If you are not sure what a move will do, picture the board after it before you commit. Rushing through the early steps is how boards get tangled.

Expect the lots to get more crowded as you go. The puzzles become increasingly challenging, with more cars and tighter spaces. Early levels teach you how to spot the blocking chain, and later ones test whether you can plan several moves ahead. If a level has you stuck, go back to the first step: find the target car's path and list what sits on it.
