About Sokoban Master
Sokoban Master is a puzzle game inspired by the classic Sokoban: your mission is to push every crate onto its target position. Crates can only be pushed, never pulled, so every move matters — a crate pushed into the wrong spot can leave a level impossible to finish.
Levels run from beginner-friendly puzzles to more challenging stages. You earn stars by completing levels efficiently, the game tracks your moves and progress, there are achievements to unlock, and a built-in Level Editor lets you create your own puzzles. Z undoes a move, so experimenting costs little.
How to play
Move with the arrow keys or WASD (on mobile, tap the board or use the on-screen D-pad); walk into a crate to push it. Crates can only be pushed, never pulled, so trace each crate's path to its target before the first push, and press Z to undo a move.
Controls
- Arrow keys / WASD — move & push
- Z — undo move
- Mobile — tap the board or use the on-screen D-pad
Tips to win
- Corners are crate graveyards — never push toward one without an exit plan.
- Solve the most-constrained crate first; the open-floor crates can wait.
- Stuck? Work backwards from the targets — the last push reveals the first.
Sokoban Master strategy guide
Move and push. On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD to move. On mobile, tap the game board to move or use the on-screen D-pad. Walking into a crate pushes it in the direction you are moving, and that is the only way to move a crate at all.
Push, never pull. Your mission is to push every crate onto its target position. Crates can only be pushed, never pulled, so every move matters. A crate shoved into a corner or flat against a wall may never come back out, which can leave a level impossible to finish from that point on.
Undo is your friend. Press Z to undo a move. Rather than starting over after one bad push, step back and try a different approach. Using undo freely is the best way to experiment with a tricky level without throwing away all the progress you have already made.
Stars, levels and more. Sokoban Master offers multiple difficulty levels, from beginner-friendly puzzles to much more challenging stages. You earn stars for completing levels efficiently, and the game tracks your moves and progress and has achievements to unlock. There is even a built-in Level Editor for creating your own puzzles once you understand what makes a good one.
How to improve. The most common mistake is pushing the nearest crate without a plan. Before your first move, look at where each crate needs to end up and trace the path it will take. Handle the crates with the least room to move first. If you get stuck, try working backwards from the targets. Since stars reward efficiency, once you solve a level, play it again and try to finish in fewer moves.
