About Tank War Ice Age
Tank War Ice Age is a stripped-down two-player tank duel set on an ice-age battlefield. You pick how many rounds the match runs to before you start, then take one tank each on the same keyboard and try to land the shots that matter. The bombs hit hard — most rounds are decided by one or two connections rather than a long grind.
There is nothing to unlock and nothing to read. That is the appeal: it loads fast, the controls are two clusters of keys at opposite ends of the keyboard, and a full match fits comfortably into a short break.
How to play
Set your round limit on the opening screen. Player 1 drives with W, A, S and D and fires with Space. Player 2 drives with the arrow keys and fires with Enter. Shots are powerful and travel, so lead a moving target rather than aiming where it is now. The first player to reach the round limit wins the match.
Controls
- Player 1 — W A S D drive, Space fire
- Player 2 — Arrow keys drive, Enter fire
- Round limit set before the match starts
Tips to win
- Never sit still after firing — your muzzle flash tells your opponent exactly where you are.
- Shoot where they are going, not where they are; the shells take real time to arrive.
- Set a short round limit for a quick break and a long one if you want a proper series.
Tank War Ice Age strategy guide
Movement is your only armour. There is no shield and no health regeneration worth planning around in Tank War Ice Age — the bombs are powerful enough that positioning is the entire defensive game. The habit to build first is simple: fire, then immediately move. New players fire and watch to see whether the shot landed, which is exactly the moment their opponent has a stationary target at a known position. Fire and drive, then look.
Lead your shots. Shells travel rather than hitting instantly, which means aiming at a moving tank is aiming at where it will be. Against an opponent driving in a straight line this is easy and very effective. Against one who changes direction it is guesswork — which is why changing direction is worth doing even when nothing is chasing you.
Use the round limit deliberately. The setting on the opening screen is not decoration. A short limit of three rounds makes every shot tense and suits a five-minute break; it also rewards luck, so it is the friendlier setting if the two of you are not evenly matched. A longer limit lets the better player grind out an advantage and turns the match into a proper series where you can adjust to how your opponent drives.
Fight at the range that suits you. Close range turns the duel into a scramble where whoever panics less wins, and shots are almost impossible to miss but equally impossible to dodge. Long range makes leading the shot the whole skill. Neither is correct — but deciding which one you are better at, and then driving to that distance instead of fighting wherever you happen to meet, is the fastest improvement available.
Watch the terrain. The frozen map is not flat decoration; ridges and obstacles block shells. Breaking line of sight after you fire is better than simply driving in the open, because it denies the return shot entirely rather than just making it harder.
Tank War Ice Age FAQ
Is Tank War Ice Age unblocked at school?
Yes. It runs in a plain browser tab with no download, no plugin and no sign-up, so it works on school Chromebooks and lab machines wherever this site loads.
Can two people play on one keyboard?
That is the whole game. Player 1 uses W A S D with Space to fire and Player 2 uses the arrow keys with Enter, so the two control clusters sit at opposite ends of one keyboard.
What are the controls?
Player 1 drives with W A S D and fires with Space. Player 2 drives with the arrow keys and fires with Enter.
How long is a match?
You decide. The opening screen lets you set the round limit before the match starts, so you can play a quick three-round game or a longer series.
Do I need to download it?
No. It streams into the page when you press Play and installs nothing on the computer.
Does it run on a Chromebook?
Yes — it is a lightweight browser game, and a physical keyboard is all you need since both players share one.
