About Puppet Hockey
Puppet Hockey strips ice hockey down to the part that actually causes arguments: one skater each, one net each, and a puck that will not sit still. You pick from twelve international teams and then try to shove the puck past the other puppet as many times as the clock allows.
The puppet physics are the whole joke — your skater swings from the waist, so a hard shot leaves you flailing and out of position. It is the same appeal as the ragdoll sports games that already do best here, with a rink instead of a court.
How to play
Move with the arrow keys and press F to swing your stick. Line your puppet up behind the puck before you swing, because a miss sends you spinning past it. First skater to the score target when the clock runs out takes the match.
Controls
- Move — arrow keys
- Swing the stick — F
- Two players on one keyboard
- Touch controls supported
Tips to win
- Do not chase every loose puck. Holding the front of your own net wins more games than skating the length of the rink.
- Short taps on F keep you balanced; a full swing is only worth it when the puck is already in front of you.
- Bank shots off the boards. A direct shot into a waiting puppet almost always comes straight back.
