About Mini Boxing
Mini Boxing is a deliberately old-fashioned arcade boxer. You play as Nick-Joe and fight six opponents for the Boxer Championship, each with a different style you have to read rather than out-mash.
The move list is three punches and a block, which is exactly enough: the light jab keeps distance, the medium straight trades, and the heavy uppercut is the one that ends rounds if you land it on a recovering opponent. The super-deformed sprite work is a straight nod to 1980s arcade cabinets.
How to play
Move left and right with the arrow keys and hold Up to block. Z throws a quick jab, X a medium straight, and C the heavy uppercut. Block and step back when the opponent commits, then answer with the uppercut while they are still swinging.
Controls
- Move — Left and Right arrows
- Block — Up arrow
- Light jab — Z
- Straight punch — X
- Heavy uppercut — C
Tips to win
- Jab twice, then step back. Most opponents here punish a third punch in a row.
- Blocking costs nothing, so hold Up whenever you are not actively attacking.
- Save the uppercut for the moment just after you block — it is far too slow to open with.
