A shooting challenge against the clock. Basketball Simulator 3D is about making shots from different distances before time runs out. You pick your favourite team, then move around the court and score as many baskets as you can for a high score.

Controls. WASD or the arrow keys move your player, the mouse aims, and the left mouse button sets the force of your shot. P pauses. Because shot strength comes from how you use the left button, the key skill is learning the right amount of force for each distance.

Learn one spot at a time. Start close to the basket and find the force that drops the ball in. Then take a step back and adjust. Building a mental map of force by distance is quicker than guessing a new shot every time, and it pays off when the clock is short.

Use the clock well. Every second spent walking is a second not shooting. Once you know your reliable spots, move between them efficiently and shoot as soon as you arrive. When the timer is almost out, take the shot you are most confident in rather than a long one.

Common mistakes. The most common is changing both aim and force after a miss. Change one thing at a time so you can tell which one was wrong. Another is shooting from awkward angles close to the backboard, where the ball tends to bounce out.

Chasing a high score. Because the score is simply the number of baskets in the time limit, a steady rhythm of makeable shots beats a few spectacular long attempts.
