About Puppet Hockey Battle

Puppet Hockey Battle is the tournament version of the puppet rink. You choose a country team first, get your players ready, and then work through one-on-one matches with a trophy at the end rather than a single exhibition game.

Skating, jumping, catching and shooting all sit on the same handful of keys, so the difficulty is in timing rather than in memorising a control scheme. Matches are short enough to fit into a break and long enough to feel like a real run at the cup.

How to play

Use the arrow keys to skate and jump, and press F to shoot the puck. Pick your country from the team screen before the first match — the run carries from match to match, so a single bad period can cost the trophy.

Tips to win

Jump to intercept. A puck lifted over your stick is the most common way to concede here.
Shoot early in a rally while the other puppet is still recovering from its own swing.
Learn one team and stay with it — the puppets handle slightly differently and switching resets your timing.

Puppet Hockey Battle strategy guide

A tournament, not a single game. Puppet Hockey Battle asks you to choose your favourite country team of puppet hockey players and then go for the trophy through one-on-one matches. Each match is short, but the run continues from game to game, so consistency matters more than one big win.

Controls. Use the arrow keys to move and press F to shoot. The game describes skating, jumping, catching and shooting the puck — all of it happens on those few keys, which keeps the controls simple but makes timing everything.

Positioning over chasing. In a one-on-one rink the player who controls the space in front of their own goal concedes less. Chasing the puck to every corner leaves your net open. Stay between the puck and your goal when your opponent has it, and move forward only when you win it back.

Shoot at the right moment. Puppet physics make swings wobbly, so a rushed shot often goes wide. Line your puppet up with the puck first, then press F. The best chances come right after your opponent misses a swing and is out of position.

Catching and jumping. A puck lifted toward you can be caught or jumped over. Learning when to jump to intercept a shot is one of the skills that separates close matches.

Common mistakes. Shooting from too far out, where the puck is easy to stop, and switching teams between matches. Stay with one team so your timing carries over.
