About Medieval Battle 2P
Medieval Battle 2P is a battle simulator rather than a twitch game. You spend your budget on soldiers, place them across the field, and then the two armies resolve the fight on their own. Every decision that matters is made before the first sword swings, which makes a loss feel entirely like your own doing.

How to play

This is a battle simulator, so the game is over before the fighting starts. You place soldiers with the mouse and left click, remove a unit you regret with X, hold CTRL to position one properly, rotate the camera with right-click and pan it with W A S D. Once the battle begins you are a spectator — every decision you will make has already been made during the placement phase.
Use the camera before you spend anything. Right-click rotation and W A S D panning exist because the battlefield looks completely different from the other side. Players who place their whole army from the default view routinely discover a flank they never looked at. Spend the first ten seconds orbiting the field.
CTRL is the difference between a line and a pile. Holding CTRL while placing lets you position soldiers properly, and formations matter here — a neat line engages the enemy across its whole width while a clump arrives piecemeal and gets surrounded. If your armies keep losing to identical-looking forces, this is almost always why.
X costs you nothing, so use it. Removing a soldier you placed badly is free, and in a simulator where the result is determined by the arrangement, a misplaced unit is a unit actively working against you. There is no prize for committing to your first instinct — rearrange until the line looks right, then start.
Two-player turns it into a design contest.
