About Castel Wars

Castel Wars is a retro-pixel tower war for two, played across a gap with a catapult in each tower. You can build small brick blocks to shield yourself or to box your rival in, and the catapult does the heavy damage once you have worked out the angle.

The wildcard is the mysterious hero drifting overhead on balloons, who drops new weapons and bullets at random intervals. When a duel stalls into a brick-stacking standoff, throwing your sword with the action button is the tiebreaker that gets things moving again.

How to play

Blue player uses W A S D to move plus E to act; red player uses the arrow keys plus P. Move to line up your tower catapult, build bricks to block incoming shots or trap your opponent, and press your action key to throw your sword when they get close. Grab the bonuses the balloon hero drops for better weapons and ammo.

Tips to win

• Build upward before you build across — height gives your catapult the better angle.
• Do not ignore the airdrops; a fresh weapon ends a stalemate faster than another brick.
• Bricks are a trap as well as a shield — box your rival in rather than only walling yourself off.
