About Football.io

Football.io takes the io formula somewhere unusual: instead of growing, you are eliminating. Four players share an arena and the goal is to be the last one in it, with the ball as the weapon rather than the objective.

Matches are quick and the elimination structure means the pressure rises as the field thins — a three-way scramble is chaos, but the final one-on-one is a genuine duel. You can steer with the mouse or the arrow keys, whichever your hands prefer.

How to play

Steer with the mouse or the arrow keys, whichever you find easier. You are up against three other players in the arena and the aim is to eliminate them one at a time until you are the only one left. Keep moving, pick off isolated rivals, and stay out of the middle when three players are still in.

Tips to win

• Let the other three collide first — the last player into the fight usually wins it.
• Attack whoever is isolated rather than whoever is closest.
• In the final one-on-one, patience wins: force them to commit and punish the overshoot.
