About Shark io
Shark io runs on the oldest rule in the ocean: the big fish eats the little one. You start as one of the little ones, which means the opening minute is spent hunting anything smaller while staying well clear of everything that is not.
Growth changes how you play rather than just how you score — a small shark survives on agility and a big one on presence, and the transition between the two is where most runs end. Steering is entirely on the mouse, so it is one of the most immediately playable io games on the shelf.
How to play
Steer with the mouse — your shark follows the cursor. Eat any fish smaller than you to grow, and keep your distance from anything larger, because the same rule that feeds you applies in reverse. As you grow you turn more slowly, so start planning your approaches earlier.
Controls
- Mouse — steer
- Touch — steer on mobile
Tips to win
- Hunt the edges early: fewer big sharks patrol the corners while you are still small.
- Size costs you agility — once you are large, commit to approaches instead of reacting late.
- When something bigger closes in, turn early. A late turn at speed is what gets you eaten.
