About Basketball Shooter
Basketball Shooter strips the sport down to the shot. You hold the mouse button to build distance on the throw and release to shoot, which turns every attempt into a single judgement about power rather than a sequence of moves. Getting the hold length right for a given position is the whole game.
It carries three options — a challenge mode, one player, and a two-player mode where you compete directly against someone on the same machine. That two-player option is what earns it a place next to Basket Random and Basketball.io on the two-player basketball shelf.
How to play
Hold the mouse button down to set the distance of your shot, then release to shoot — the longer you hold, the further the ball travels. Choose between challenge, one player and two player from the opening menu. In two-player mode you and an opponent shoot in turn and compare scores.
Controls
- Hold mouse click — set shot distance
- Release — shoot
- Challenge, 1 player and 2 player modes
- Works on desktop with a mouse
Tips to win
- Find the hold length for one position and repeat it before moving. Consistency scores more than range.
- Release on a rhythm rather than by eye — counting the hold is more repeatable than watching the meter.
- In two-player, take the safe shot when you are ahead; the lead is worth more than a highlight.
