About Territory.io
Territory.io is the land-grab corner of the .io genre: you leave a trail behind you as you move, and any loop you close converts the ground inside it into your territory. The bigger your claimed area, the higher you sit on the live leaderboard that runs down the side of the screen.
The tension is entirely self-inflicted. Every trail you draw is exposed until you get back to your own territory, so the size of the area you are trying to claim is exactly the size of the risk you are taking. Power-ups scattered around the map give temporary abilities, and they are usually placed somewhere that requires a longer trail than you want to draw.
How to play
Move with WASD or the arrow keys. Leaving your own territory starts a trail; return to your territory to close the loop and everything enclosed becomes yours. Your trail is vulnerable while you are outside your area, so plan the loop before you commit. Collect power-ups for temporary special abilities, and watch the live leaderboard to see who you are actually competing with.

Tips to win
- Take small loops repeatedly instead of one huge one — territory you have banked cannot be taken back from you mid-run.
- Cut back toward your own edge the moment an opponent turns toward your trail.
- Grab power-ups on the way back from a claim, not on the way out; the trip home is the dangerous half.
