Popcorn Thief is a one-button game of nerve. You play Quby, a coworker with an enormous snack habit and a rival who will absolutely notice a missing handful of popcorn. Hold the button to keep stealing, and let go the instant before their gaze swings back your way — greed fills the bag faster, but getting caught ends the run.

It is a stealth game reduced to its single most tense mechanic, and it works because the tell is always visible if you are patient enough to watch for it. Two-second decisions, instant restarts, and a joke that stays funny longer than it has any right to.

How to play

Press and hold the Spacebar (or hold a left-click, or hold your finger on a touchscreen) to steal popcorn. Release before your rival turns to look. The longer you hold, the more you take — but the tell for their glance is short, so read their body language rather than counting seconds.

Tips to win

• Release on the tell, not on a timer — the interval between glances is not constant.
• Short, repeated grabs beat one long greedy hold on the later levels.
• If you are unsure whether they are about to turn, they are. Let go.
