About PixelBlock
PixelBlock is a block-placement puzzle with a destructive streak. You drag shaped pieces onto a grid and clear lines the usual way, but every cleared line shatters a piece of the pixel artwork sitting underneath the board. The tactical game is unchanged — the reward for playing it well just got louder.
There is no falling timer, so the pressure comes entirely from the three pieces waiting in your tray. Play greedily and you will run out of room; play with a plan and a run can go a very long time. It works with the sound off and needs only a mouse.
How to play
Drag a piece from the tray and drop it anywhere it fits on the grid. Filling a complete row or column clears it and damages the artwork behind the board. You lose when none of the three pieces in your tray can be placed, so always check that the awkward piece still has a home before you commit the easy one.
Controls
- Click and drag — pick up and place a block
- Release — drop the block on the grid
- Touch — drag with your finger on mobile
Tips to win
- Place the largest piece first — small pieces almost always find a gap later, big ones do not.
- Keep one clear column open as a release valve rather than filling the board evenly.
- Check all three tray pieces before placing any of them; the order you place them in decides the run.
