About Paletto
Paletto is a logic puzzle disguised as a colouring game. Each level shows you a target pattern, and you have a set of painter objects that each colour one column when you click them. The catch is order: painters overwrite what came before, so the same set of clicks in a different sequence produces a completely different board.
That turns every level into a small planning problem — work out which colour has to be laid down first and which one has to be last, and the middle usually solves itself. It is unhurried, quiet and mercifully free of timers.
How to play
Look at the target pattern, then click a painter object to colour its column. Later clicks paint over earlier ones, so the sequence matters more than the selection — decide which colour must go down first and which must be applied last, then fill in the middle. Match the target exactly to clear the level.
Controls
- Mouse click — trigger a painter and colour its column
- Touch — tap a painter on mobile
Tips to win
- Identify the colour that appears in the fewest squares — it is almost always the one applied last.
- Work backwards from the target: the final click is the easiest step to deduce.
- If two orders look equivalent, they are not — try the one that paints the widest area first.
