About Neon City Drift Racing

Neon City Drift Racing is a night-time drift game scored on control rather than lap time. You choose a car, throw it into the glowing corners of a city circuit, and hold the slide for as long as you can keep it clean.

Chained drifts pay better than single ones, so the routes reward planning a whole sequence of corners instead of reacting to each one. Rewards feed back into better cars, which in turn hold longer slides.

How to play

Accelerate with W or the Up arrow, brake and reverse with S or Down, and steer with A and D or the left and right arrows. Space or Shift gives nitro; press Enter to start from the main menu. Flick the wheel into a corner and hold the slide rather than correcting it.

Tips to win

• Start the slide before the corner, not in it. Entering already sideways is what keeps a chain alive.
• Feather the accelerator mid-drift — full throttle spins the car and breaks the chain.
• Nitro is for the straight between two corners, not for the corner itself.

Drifting is the score. Neon City Drift Racing is a night-time drifting competition through glowing city streets. You pick a car, then chain stylish slides through the corners and earn rewards for precise driving. The aim is to improve your best scores and master the tougher routes.

Controls. W or the Up arrow accelerates, S or the Down arrow brakes and reverses, and A and D or the Left and Right arrows steer. Space or Shift fires nitro, and Enter starts from the main menu. Menus can be used with the mouse or touch, and there are on-screen brake and nitro buttons on touch devices.

Starting a drift. A drift begins before the corner, not in it. Turn in slightly early, let the back of the car step out, and steer against the slide to hold it. If you wait until you are already in the bend, the car simply understeers or spins.

Chaining slides. The game rewards chaining drifts together. That means planning the next corner while you are still sliding through the current one. On a route with several bends close together, the best score comes from flowing from one slide into the next without straightening fully.

Nitro. Nitro adds speed, which makes a drift harder to hold. Use it on straights between corners rather than in the middle of a slide.

Common mistakes. Too much throttle mid-drift, which spins the car; braking in the corner instead of before it; and choosing the fastest car before you can control a slide.
