Limax.io takes the arena-growth loop and gives it a twist worth learning: you leave a trail behind you, and rivals die by running into it. So growing is only half the game — the other half is choosing where to lay your line. You start small, hoover up the food orbs around you, and every mouthful makes you bigger and your dash faster.

That makes it more aggressive than the pure snake games on the site like Worms Zone. Sitting still and eating will not get you to the top of the leaderboard; cutting an arc in front of a fast-moving opponent will.

How to play

Steer with the mouse — your slug follows the cursor. Eat the food orbs scattered around the arena to grow bigger and faster. Left click to dash, and use that dash to swing your trail across another player so they crash into it, then eat what is left of them.

Growth comes first, because size feeds your dash. You begin as a small slug in a busy arena, and the only reliable way up is the food orbs that spawn around you. Every orb makes you fatter, and a fatter slug dashes faster. Early eating is not passive play; it builds the speed you will need to hunt later. Spend the opening minute sweeping open patches of orbs rather than looking for fights.

Your trail is the only weapon you have. You never bite another slug directly. Instead, rivals die when they run into the line you leave behind you. Chasing a target from behind does nothing; getting ahead of it and drawing your trail across its path is what scores a kill. Think of yourself as laying fences, not throwing punches.

Use the dash to cut in front, not to escape. The mouse steers and a left click triggers the dash. The strongest move is a short burst that carries you across the nose of a slower slug, leaving your trail directly where it is about to be. A dash spent running away wastes the one tool that actually wins exchanges.

Read other players before committing. Slugs moving in a straight line are the easiest to cut off, because you can predict exactly where they will be in a second. Players weaving erratically are harder to trap and may be trying the same trick on you. When two larger slugs are circling each other, stay out of it and eat around the edges instead.

Eat the remains and keep climbing the leaderboard. When a rival crashes into your line, what is left of them is food, and it is usually the biggest meal on the map. Grab it fast. The goal is the top of the leaderboard, so treat each kill as fuel for the next one and keep a steady rhythm of eating, cutting and cleaning up.
