About Hurdles Heroes

Hurdles Heroes is a sprinting game with one counter-intuitive rule: you accelerate by jumping the hurdles at the last moment. Clear each hurdle late and you pick up speed; jump early and safe, and you give that away. That single tension is the whole game.

The tournament takes you to races in different parts of the world — seven continents in total — and you have to finish first in all of them to win. You can enter as 1 Player or 2 Player, and with a friend it becomes a nerve game: who is willing to leave the jump later?

How to play

One key each: Player 1 presses W, Player 2 presses the Up arrow. Each press jumps a hurdle. Clearing a hurdle at the last moment gives you an acceleration bonus, so timing rather than tapping speed decides the race. Finish first on all seven continents to win the tournament.

Hurdles Heroes strategy guide

One key each. Player 1 presses W, Player 2 presses the Up arrow. Those are the only keys the developer lists, so there is no separate sprint button — your key is for the hurdles, and the timing of each press is what the game measures.

Jumping late makes you faster. You accelerate by clearing each hurdle at the last possible moment. That one rule inverts the usual instinct: the safe early jump is the slow option, and the risky late one is how you win. Everything else about this game follows from that tension.

Learn the rhythm before you push it. Leaving every jump as late as possible from the first hurdle is a risky way to start. Run a safer race first to find the timing, then start shaving it hurdle by hurdle. The developer does not spell out what happens if you leave a jump too late, so find that edge gradually.

Watch your own runner. In two-player, the temptation is to look across at your opponent, and it is the most reliable way to mistime your own jump. Your timing should come from the hurdle in front of your runner, not from what the other player is doing.

Because the title needs a win in every race, consistency beats a spectacular time — the tournament rewards the runner who wins every race, not the one who ran the single fastest one.
