Glow Darts takes the classic dartboard completely digital and lights it in neon, which is more than decoration — the glow marks the scoring beds clearly, so reading where a dart actually landed is easier than on a photorealistic board. Several game modes are included rather than a single score attack.

The aiming model is the familiar click-and-hold: you move the dart, hold to steady the crosshair, and release when it sits where you want it. It is the calmer companion to Darts 501 and Darts Pro Multiplayer, which both lean on timing more than placement.

How to play

Choose a mode first, such as 301, 501, Around The World or Baseball, each with its own rules and targets. Then move the dart over the board with the mouse, click and hold to begin aiming, and release the button when the crosshair sits on the segment you want.

Pick the mode before you worry about aim. Glow Darts offers several ways to play, including 301, 501, Around The World and Baseball. Each one rewards different targets, so the right throw depends on the mode. Read the rules when you pick one and decide what you are aiming at before the first dart leaves your hand.

The throw is three separate steps. First you slide the dart over the board with the mouse, then you press and hold the button to start aiming, and finally you let go to throw. Treat these as distinct moments rather than one quick click. Position the dart roughly, press, then give your full attention to the crosshair and release only when it is sitting on the bed you chose. Rushing the release is where most wasted darts come from.

Use the neon to aim at segments, not areas. The glowing board makes the doubles, trebles and the bull easy to pick out, which means you can choose a specific target on every throw. Aiming at "somewhere near the top" produces scattered scores; aiming at one exact bed gives you something to correct against when you miss.

Let the mode tell you where to aim. The most common mistake is throwing at the treble 20 out of habit when the mode wants something else. In 301 and 501 the number you need changes as your total shrinks, so slow down near the end and think before each dart. In the other modes, check which target counts right now rather than chasing big numbers that score nothing.

Build a routine and repeat it. Consistency is the real skill here. Use the same approach every throw: move, press, watch, release. When a dart strays, ask whether you released too soon or aimed at the wrong bed, and fix just that one thing. Players who change their whole method after each miss rarely improve, while a steady routine turns a good throw into a repeatable one.
