About Blaze Ball Showdown
Blaze Ball Showdown is a one-on-one arcade ball game where you are the only thing between the ball and your own net. You move up and down your side of a burning arena, trying to send the ball past your opponent while covering your own goal — attack and defence are the same action, taken from the same position.
Two players share one keyboard, one on W and S and the other on the up and down arrows, which makes it about as easy to start as a game gets. There is a single-player mode against the computer too.
How to play
Player 1 moves up with W and down with S. Player 2 moves up with the up arrow and down with the down arrow. Position yourself to send the ball toward your opponent’s net while staying in front of your own. Play solo against the computer or head to head with a friend.
Controls
- Player 1 — W up, S down
- Player 2 — Up arrow up, Down arrow down
- One or two players on the same keyboard
Tips to win
- Return to the middle of your side after every touch — that is the only position that covers both corners.
- Hit the ball off the edge of your paddle to change its angle rather than just sending it straight back.
- Watch your opponent’s position, not the ball, when deciding where to aim.
