About Battle Wheels

Battle Wheels is a vehicle duel decided in rounds: two armoured cars slam into each other until one driver comes off worse, and three round wins take the match. Above that sits a league ladder — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Obsidian — that keeps raising the standard of car you are up against.

The garage is what separates it from the usual crash-and-restart arcade game. Coins from wins buy faster cars, tougher wheels and direct upgrades to damage and health, so a league that felt impossible becomes reasonable a few matches later. Two players can also skip the ladder and go straight at each other.

How to play

Player 1 moves and balances the car with WASD or the arrow keys; in two-player mode the second player takes the opposite set. Smash your opponent's head to take a round, and win three rounds to take the match. Spend coins in the garage between matches on cars, wheels, damage and health.

Tips to win

• Balance matters as much as speed — arriving tilted turns your ram into their free hit.
• Buy health before damage. Surviving the first exchange is what wins rounds early on.
• Obsidian league opponents punish head-on charges; come in at an angle instead.

Battle Wheels strategy guide

Drive and balance. Player 1 uses WASD or the arrow keys to move and balance the car; in two-player mode the second player takes the opposite side of the keyboard. On mobile, on-screen buttons do the same job. Balance is not a side detail here: how your car is angled when it reaches the opponent decides who gets hit.

Aim for the head. Each round ends when one driver loses his head, literally. Smash your opponent's head to win the round, and the first to three round wins takes the match. Simply ramming the other car is not the goal; getting your car into a position where it reaches the other driver is.

Five leagues and a garage. Solo play climbs through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Obsidian, against a pool of 1000 unique AI opponents. Every win pays coins, and the garage turns them into faster cars, tougher wheels and higher Damage and Health stats. You can also customise your fighter with different heads, eyes, mouths and colours to build your own avatar.

Common mistakes. Charging flat out at every opponent is the obvious one; arriving off balance leaves your own driver exposed. Another is spreading coins across everything at once instead of fixing what is actually losing you rounds. If you keep losing the first exchange, extra Health usually helps more than extra Damage.

How to improve. Make short, controlled approaches and watch how the other car is tilting before you commit. When a league starts beating you over and over, keep earning coins, upgrade in the garage, and come back stronger. In two-player battles, red against blue on one keyboard, agree on sides before the match starts and play best of several matches, because a single round can turn on one good hit.
