About 1 On 1 Soccer
1 On 1 Soccer strips football down to the only part that matters when two people are sharing a keyboard: one player each, one ball, and a clock. You choose a country, the match starts immediately, and the winner is whoever has scored more when time expires.
Because there is no team to pass to, everything is about your own position relative to the ball and the goal. That makes it one of the easiest two-player games here to pick up cold — there is nothing to learn beyond move and shoot — and one of the hardest to dominate, since your opponent always has exactly the same options you do.
How to play
Choose your country, then play a friend on the same keyboard or take on the computer. Player 1 uses the arrow keys and Player 2 uses W, A, S and D. Move toward the ball and shoot at the opposing goal; the match is timed, so score as many as you can before the clock runs out.

Arrow keys and WASD. Player 1 takes the arrow keys, Player 2 takes W, A, S and D, and the two clusters sit far enough apart that sharing a laptop is comfortable. You can also play against the computer. Choose your country, and the match starts immediately — there is nothing else to set up.
One player each, and a clock. There is no team to pass to and no positions to hold. Everything is about where you are relative to the ball and the goal, and the winner is whoever has scored more when time expires. That makes it one of the easiest two-player games here to pick up cold, and one of the hardest to dominate, because your opponent has exactly the options you do.
Do not commit in midfield. When both players swing at a loose ball in the middle of the pitch, the one who swings second usually keeps it — the first player's momentum carries them past. Hanging back half a beat in neutral situations is worth more possession than any amount of chasing.
Shoot from wide angles. The keeper covers the centre of the goal far better than the posts, so a shot from the middle is the one most likely to be saved. Drifting wide before you strike opens a target the keeper cannot reach in time. It feels like the harder shot and it goes in more often.
Close out a lead in the corner. Because the match is fast-paced and timed, holding the ball near a corner with a lead is a legitimate and very effective way to finish. Attacking again with thirty seconds left risks handing over possession in a dangerous position for no reason — you cannot win by more than winning.
