About Warfare Area

Warfare Area is a war shooter with a simple, grim setup: enemies have captured your base, and you are the last soldier left from your troop inside it. Nobody else is coming, so fighting the base back is up to you.

You go into the battle with a rifle. On desktop you move with the arrow keys or W A S D and use the mouse to turn, aim and shoot; on mobile an on-screen joystick moves you, a fire button shoots, and tapping and dragging on the right side of the screen aims and turns your soldier.

How to play

Move with the arrow keys or W A S D and use the mouse to turn, aim and fire. On mobile, the on-screen joystick moves you, the fire button shoots, and dragging the right side of the screen aims. You are the last soldier in a captured base, so take the enemies a few at a time rather than walking into the open.

Warfare Area strategy guide

You are outnumbered by design, so avoid fighting in the open. Warfare Area puts you in a base your enemies have captured, as the last soldier from your troop. The premise tells you how to play: you cannot win a fight against everyone at once, so every approach should be set up to meet them in small numbers. Using whatever cover the base offers is what makes that possible.

Keys move, the mouse aims. On desktop the arrow keys or W A S D only move your soldier; the mouse turns the character, aims and shoots. Let the keys decide where your body goes and the mouse decide where your rifle points. They work independently, and using them that way is the biggest single improvement most players can make. On mobile the split is the same: joystick to move, drag on the right side of the screen to aim, fire button to shoot.

Peek, do not charge. Edging out from cover, taking a shot and stepping back is a far better pattern than running straight at enemies. Each peek exposes you for a moment rather than for a sustained period. Move quickly between cover and be patient once you are behind it.

Lead moving targets. Enemies do not stand still while you line up, and shots aimed exactly at a moving soldier tend to arrive behind them. Aim slightly ahead of the direction they are travelling. It feels unnatural for a few fights and then becomes automatic.

Disengage when the numbers turn. If several enemies are shooting at you at once, the fight is already going against you. Break line of sight, move to a different approach, and come back in where they are spread out rather than bunched together. Pulling back feels like losing, but as the last soldier in the base, staying alive is what lets you keep fighting it back.
