About Super Goal Keeper

Super Goal Keeper puts you in the one position most soccer games ignore. You are between the posts, strikers are lining up powerful shots, and your entire job is to get something — a hand, a boot, a shoulder — in the way. Dive, jump and stretch, match after match, as the shooting gets sharper.

It is a reflex game more than a soccer game, and the appeal is the same as the real thing: nobody remembers the routine saves, and everybody remembers the one you had no right to reach.

How to play

Use the mouse to navigate the menus and to move your keeper across the goal. Watch the shape of the striker for the direction of the shot, then commit — diving late is better than diving early, because a keeper already on the ground saves nothing.

Super Goal Keeper strategy guide

Mouse only. You use the mouse to click through the menus and to move your keeper across the goal. There is nothing else to learn, which suits the game — you are meant to be reacting, not remembering a key layout.

You are in the position most soccer games ignore. Instead of shooting, you are defending your team's net against powerful shots from skilled strikers, diving, jumping and stretching to keep them out. Every match brings sharper shooting than the last. It is really a reflex game wearing a soccer shirt, and the appeal is the same as the real thing: nobody remembers the routine saves.

Stay central by default. The corners are reachable, but a keeper who has already guessed and moved is a keeper who cannot adjust. Starting central keeps both sides live and means you are only ever making a short correction rather than a full commitment. Guessing early feels proactive and is the most reliable way to concede.

Watch the striker, not the ball. By the time the ball has left the foot there is very little time left to react. The striker's body shape — especially the plant foot — telegraphs which side the shot is going before it is struck. Training yourself to look at the player rather than the ball is the difference between reacting and predicting, and it is the skill this game is actually testing.

Recover to the middle after every save. A save that leaves you sprawled on one post is only half a save if the ball is still live. Rebounds beat more keepers here than clean strikes do, because the natural instinct after a good save is to watch it rather than reset. Get back to a neutral central position immediately and treat every save as unfinished until the ball is gone.
