About MTB DownHill Extreme
MTB DownHill Extreme is the rare browser bike game that models the two brakes separately, and once you notice that, it changes how you ride. The front brake stops you hardest and is also the one that will pitch you over the handlebars; the rear brake is what you actually want on a loose descent. Four bikes and a set of offroad courses come with it.
The two-player mode is what earns it a place next to the site's other shared-keyboard racers: both riders get a full control set including their own brakes and camera key, so it is a real head-to-head rather than a split of one bike's inputs.
How to play
Player 1 rides with WASD, uses Space for the front brake and S for the rear, switches camera with C and resets with R. Player 2 uses the arrow keys, Right Shift for the front brake, the down arrow for the rear, O for camera and P to reset. Pick one of the four bikes and a mode.
Controls
- Player 1 — WASD, Space front brake, S rear brake, C camera, R reset
- Player 2 — Arrows, R-Shift front brake, ↓ rear brake, O camera, P reset
- One or two players, four bikes
Tips to win
- Use the rear brake on descents. The front brake at speed puts you over the bars.
- Reset costs less time than fighting a bad landing back upright — press R or P early.
- Switch cameras on technical sections; the default angle hides drops that are right in front of you.
