About BlockGunner

BlockGunner is a two-player duel built for a single keyboard. One of you takes W A S D, the other takes the arrow keys, and you settle it across three compact maps with three different weapons. Rounds are short by design — the winner takes the round and you go straight into the next one, which is exactly what you want when two people are sharing one screen.

The 2D blocky presentation keeps the file small and the frame rate steady, so it runs happily on a school laptop or an ageing Chromebook. There is no lobby, no account and no matchmaking wait: load the page, pick a map, and start shooting.

How to play

Player one moves with W, A, S and D and fires with R; player two moves with the arrow keys and fires with O. Pick one of the three maps, learn where the cover sits, and use the weapon spread to your advantage — the round ends when one player is left standing.

Tips to win

Three maps, three weapons, and they interact. The game ships with three different maps and three different weapons, and the pairing matters more than either does alone. A weapon with a wide spread is strong in the tight map where nobody can keep their distance, and close to useless on the open one where the other player simply backs away. Treat the first round on a new map as reconnaissance rather than a real attempt to win it.

Cover is the whole game. The maps are compact, which means there is always a block between you and the other player if you are willing to move to it. The player who pushes into the open first is usually the player who loses the trade, because in a duel with no respawns there is no way to recover from a bad opening exchange. Let your opponent commit, then punish the commitment.

Keep moving while you aim. The strongest instinct in a shooter is to stand still to line up a clean shot, and in a two-player duel it is the fastest way to lose the round. A moving target in a small blocky arena is genuinely hard to hit; a stationary one is free. Circle, fire, and accept that some of your shots will miss.
