BBall Pro League is the rare browser basketball game with an actual structure behind it. You can run a whole regular season and then push through the playoffs for a championship, which gives the individual games stakes that a one-off arcade shootout never has.

If you only have a few minutes, a single exhibition game against the AI does the job, and a friend can take the other side on the same device. Everything runs off the mouse or a touch screen, so there are no controls to explain before tip-off.
