About Night City Racing

Night City Racing is a driving simulator that picks the best hour for one — everything happens under streetlights, where the reflections do most of the work of making ten super-sport cars look expensive. The handling sits on the realistic side of arcade, so weight transfer and braking distance actually matter through corners.

Each car is customisable on both the engine side and the visual side, meaning a slow starter car can be built into something that keeps up rather than being discarded. Both one-player and two-player modes run on the same city, so a friend can take the other half of the keyboard without loading anything new.

How to play

In single player, drive with WASD or the arrow keys and hold either Shift for NOS. Press T to look back, C to change the camera view, and R to reset your car when you end up on the roof. In two-player mode, Player 1 takes the arrow keys with M for NOS while Player 2 drives with WASD.

Tips to win

• Brake before the corner and accelerate through it; this handling model punishes mid-corner braking.
• Put your first upgrades into the engine — visual parts change nothing about lap times.
• The reset key is faster than driving out of a crash. Use it the moment you are facing the wrong way.
