About Mountain Climb Racing
Mountain Climb Racing is a side-on hill climber played as a race rather than a distance run. You cross hills and broken ground littered with obstacles, and the first vehicle over the finish line wins — so the usual hill-climb instinct to creep carefully has to be balanced against somebody else pulling ahead.
You can race a friend on the same keyboard or take the CPU if nobody is around. The two key sets are the standard WASD-versus-arrows split, which keeps it readable for two people who have never played it before.
How to play
Player 1 drives with WASD, Player 2 drives with the arrow keys. Accelerate and brake to manage your angle over each hill, keep your vehicle upright, and reach the finish line first. Racing the CPU is supported when you are playing alone.
Controls
- Player 1 — WASD
- Player 2 — Arrow keys
- Race a friend or the CPU
Tips to win
- Brake at the crest of a hill, not on the way down — that is where vehicles flip.
- Momentum over the small bumps is free speed; only slow down for the ones that can tip you.
- If your opponent flips, do not speed up. Finishing upright beats racing theirs.
