About Helifight

Helifight is a two-player duel between a blue and a red pixel helicopter, and it does the thing the best same-keyboard games do — it gives you exactly one resource to fight over. Rockets are not unlimited; a rocket symbol appears in the air, and whoever reaches it first is the one who gets to shoot.

That single pickup turns the whole match into a positioning game. You spend most of it flying toward where the next rocket will be rather than toward your opponent, and the actual shots are short, decisive moments in between. Five hits ends it.

How to play

One player takes the blue helicopter, the other takes the red, both on the same device. On a keyboard, one pilot controls their helicopter with W and the other with the Up arrow key; on mobile, touch the screen to control it. Fly to the rocket symbol that appears in the air to collect it, then hit the enemy helicopter with rocket fire. The first pilot to land five hits wins the match.

Tips to win

• Go for the rocket symbol before you go for your opponent — without a rocket you cannot hit anything.
• Get used to how your helicopter responds to your key at the start, before the first rocket appears.
• If your opponent has the rocket and you do not, break away. Distance is a better defence than staying close.

Helifight strategy guide

Rockets decide the match, so fly for the pickup first. Rockets are not unlimited: a rocket symbol appears in the air, and whoever collects it gets to fire. Flying straight at your opponent without a rocket achieves nothing. Make the rocket symbol your target every time it appears, because the pilot who collects more rockets gets more chances to score.

Learn your single control before the match heats up. On a keyboard, one pilot controls a helicopter with W and the other with the Up arrow key; on mobile you control it by touching the screen. With only one input each, precise flying comes down to timing your presses. Take a moment at the start to feel how your helicopter responds.

Keep your distance when your opponent is armed. If the other pilot has a rocket and you do not, getting close makes you an easy target. Break away and create space instead of trying to dodge at short range. Distance buys time for the next rocket symbol to appear.

Keep count on the way to five. The first pilot to land five hits wins the game, so every hit shifts the balance. When you are ahead, focus on reaching pickups before your opponent rather than chasing them. When you are behind, contest every rocket symbol, because you need the ammunition to catch up.

Play it as a short positioning duel with a friend. Helifight is built for two players, blue helicopter against red, with no solo mode described. Most of the match is spent racing toward the next pickup, with quick decisive shots in between. Play a few rounds and watch how your friend moves toward pickups, then get there first.
