About Epic Basketball

Epic Basketball is a pure aiming game: pull back, judge the arc, let go. The physics are the whole appeal — the ball behaves consistently enough that a missed shot is always information, and the rim gives you just enough charity to keep a run alive.

There are twenty characters to unlock, each with their own animations and their own things to throw, plus a world ranking that turns a two-minute break into a scoreboard argument. It is the kind of game you can play with one hand while thinking about something else.

How to play

Press and hold the left mouse button, drag to set your aim and power, then release to launch the ball. The drag line shows direction and strength — longer drags fly further and flatter. Keep sinking shots to build your score, unlock new characters and climb the world ranking.

Tips to win

• Aim for the back of the rim: a high arc forgives distance errors that a flat shot does not.

Epic Basketball strategy guide

Hold, drag, release — and the drag is the whole game. Press and hold the left mouse button, pull to set direction and power, then let go to launch. The line you draw while dragging is a direct preview of the shot: its angle is the launch angle and its length is the force. Because both are set by one gesture, a small error in either dimension shows up as a miss, and rushing the release is the most common cause of both.

Learn one distance properly before chasing variety. The physics are consistent, so a shot that works from a given spot works again from that spot. Repeating the same throw until it is reliable teaches you what the drag length feels like far faster than taking a different shot every attempt. Once one distance is grooved, everything else calibrates against it.

Longer drags fly flatter, and flat shots are less forgiving. A hard throw covers distance but arrives at a shallow angle, which needs the rim almost perfectly. A gentler, higher arc gives the ball more of the hoop to fall through. When you are unsure of the distance, the arcing shot is the percentage play.

Each unlocked character throws differently. There are twenty players to unlock, and the game gives them different animations and different things to throw — so the release timing you learned with one does not transfer wholesale to the next. Treat a new character as a short recalibration rather than an upgrade, and take a few low-stakes shots before you expect your usual accuracy back.

The world ranking is a long game, so stop forcing shots. Climbing means accumulating consistent scores rather than producing one spectacular run. Players who take low-percentage shots because a better score would look good tend to average worse than players who take the boring shot every time. Aim, do not hurry, and let the ranking take care of itself.
