About Drift City

Drift City hands you an open city and a scoring system instead of a race, which changes what good driving means: holding a long sideways slide around a roundabout is worth more than reaching the other end of it quickly. Drift points accumulate into new cars — six of them — and into thirty achievements that quietly push you toward corners you would otherwise never take.

Bonuses appear around the city for limited periods, so there is a reason to keep moving rather than farming one favourite junction, and four camera angles let you find the one that makes your slides readable. Nitro is there mostly to break traction again once a drift dies.

How to play

Drive with WASD or the arrow keys and use Space as the handbrake to break traction into a drift. Hold the slide with small steering corrections rather than large ones, tap F for nitro when a drift starts to straighten out, and press C to cycle the four camera angles. Chase the timed bonuses that appear around the city.

Tips to win

• Countersteer with taps, not held keys; a held correction snaps the car straight and ends the combo.
• Roundabouts and wide junctions score best — they let one drift run for several seconds.
• Go for the timed bonuses the moment they appear; they multiply a run far more than a longer session would.
