About Basketball League
Basketball League is arcade basketball with the dial turned up: one-on-one and two-on-two matches where you dribble, dash, block, pull up for threes and finish with slam dunks. A charge-and-release shooting system means every attempt is a small decision about power, and the supershot gives you a comeback button when a match gets away from you.
There is a full cup ladder behind it — Bronze, Silver and Gold — plus achievements to unlock, so the solo game has somewhere to go. But the two-player mode on one keyboard is the reason it belongs on this shelf.
How to play
Solo, move with the arrow keys, press X to shoot or dunk and Z for a supershot. For two players, Player 1 uses W A S D with V and B, Player 2 uses the arrow keys with L and K. Move to your shooting or dunking spot, hold to charge the shot, then release to score.
Controls
- 1 Player — Arrows move, X shoot/dunk, Z supershot
- Player 1 — W A S D, V and B
- Player 2 — Arrow keys, L and K
Tips to win
- Charge from a standstill — shooting mid-dash costs you accuracy you cannot spare.
- Save the supershot for when you are two scores behind; it is a swing, not an opener.
- Block by jumping late, not early — early jumps just clear a lane for the dunk.
